Omakase Burger @ Wisma Atria, Orchard Road
Just like me, I know many would get rather confused by this restaurant’s name – Omakase Burger. At first glance, you’d think they’d be serving up some Japanese-Western fusion burgers. But that’s not the case once you take a look at their menu.
What you’d find here are all-American burgers.

But why the term “omakase” then? Well, we spoke to founder and owner Cheng Hsin Yao, who explained that the term "omakase" means "I trust you" in Japanese. So, when you're walking through the doors to get an Omakase Burger, you're putting your trust in the restaurant to serve you something that will rock your world.

This time, Omakase Burger is reintroducing its burgers with new buns. Cheng's pursuit for perfection has led to the impeccable and newly improved five star burgers crafted with the world-famous Martin’s Sandwich Potato Rolls, which are brought into South-east Asia and Singapore from the United States for the first time.
In my opinion, the perfect burger would be perfect in every way, from the buns to the patty and even the cheese. Every little ingredient makes a difference. That's why, I would totally understand why Cheng would scour the world just for the perfect bun.

Among the stellar range of burgers here, one of the must-try is the signature Omakase Cheeseburger ($16.90). I was told that the patties here are "blended", meaning that four different cuts of beef were mixed together and blended to create the perfect patty.

Another ingredient flown in straight from USA is the Uncured Applewood Smoked Bacon, which is a pretty rare variant produced only in small batches. You'd be able to find this in the Omakase Applewood Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger ($19.90).
Made with hormone- and antibiotic-free pigs, the Applewood bacon is prepared without added nitrates or nitrites, and slow-smoked over Applewood chips. This results in a truly delish bacon with a delicate smoky aroma and complex flavour

Other than the delectable range of burgers from Omakase Burger, diners can also tuck into a tempting Homemade Chilli Cheese Fries ($6.90). Made with Cheng’s own recipe, the beef chilli is seasoned with Mexican spices, black beans, and served on top of freshly prepared French fries along with a creamy and gooey cheese sauce.
