Malaysian Food Festival @ Four Points by Sheraton Puchong

In Malaysia, we have variety of selection for food due to our melting pot of cultures. As a Malaysian, whenever I don’t have access to my comfort food, I tend to crave it and miss it. Sometimes, it’s hard to access all our favourite food in one single place (RIP Asia Cafe and Ming Tien food courts). But thankfully, places like Four Points by Sheraton Puchong have swooped in to bring us the Malaysian Food Festival from 20 August till 20th November.

If you’re a laksa aficionado, then you’re going to want to try their Assam laksa to start your meal off with. Whetting the appetite with its rich flavours, it is a decent contender to those you’d find in Penang, if I do say so myself.

Next up, we tried their Beef curry, which turned out to be one of my personal favourites. It is best described as creamy and aromatic with strong flavours.

Keeping to its promise of a wide selection of food, Nasi Kandar is also available here. Under the Nasi Kandar selection, their Deep fried dishes were what I enjoyed best. My favourite deep fried choices were the Udang Goreng, Sotong Goreng, Ayam Berempah and Ketam Goreng Berempah.

After the heavy start to the meal, we decided to go with something we could snack on to taper off the bingeing - Satay. Satay is definitely a Malaysian favourite you don’t want to mess with. Thankfully, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong brings a lovely rendition of the dish. Pick from the 3 different selection of meats: chicken, beef and lamb.

Last but not least, is dessert. And what is a Malaysian buffet spread without the classic assortment of Malay Kuih-Muih. Kuih lapis and the Rempah udang were my personal favourites out of many. But we recommend you try all of them.

Apart from the food we enjoyed, there was much else to feast our eyes on (as our bellies were full!). So if you’re looking for all the quintessential Malaysian food to be enjoyed in one sitting, this is certainly something you don’t want to miss out. The buffet is available from 20th August 2018 till November daily from 6am - 11pm and offers an extensive a la carte selection on the weekdays with oven-fresh pastries for daily breakfast. For Four points Sheraton Puchong in room guests, you get to enjoy a 30% discount on dining. If you are a Starwood Preferred Guest members, you get to save up to 20% discount on dining.
