Thirty8 Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Chinese New Year Menu 2019
It can be tough to decide where to eat during Chinese New Year. But if you haven’t made any plans yet, Thirty8 at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur seems like an obvious choice. With its Chinese New Year menu available in both a la carte and sets, you don’t have to worry about finding a big group to eat with. Plus you will be afforded a stunning view of the cityscape.

This Chinese New Year, Thirty8 at Grand Hyatt will give you well wishes 38 storeys high with their salmon yee sang (available a la carte for RM198++ or part of their RM338 per person set menu).

Giving the classic Chinese steamed fish a little twist by adding some spice is their grouper (RM208). Cooked to sheer perfection, this grouper is absolutely stunning.

A crowd favourite during Chinese New Year is usually the broccoli with black fungus. Over here at Thirty8, the broccoli is served instead with black moss and dried oyster (RM98).

One of my favourite dishes for the night was the wok fried lemongrass prawns with curry leaves and spicy sauce (RM135). This was a pretty spicy dish but the prawns were beautifully cooked and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Finally, we tried their glutinous rice with chestnuts, chicken and mushrooms (RM78). This gorgeous dish was also equally delicious. This is a good portion for those who don’t fancy eating too much.

For dessert, we were served deep fried nian gao (RM58). It’s presented like sesame balls but when you bite into it, you’re pleasantly surprised with the sticky nian gao inside.

The Thirty8 Chinese New Year menu is available from 1 Feb to 19 Feb. Set menu starts from RM338 per person (minimum 6 pax) and goes up to RM438 per person (minimum 6 pax). Thirty8 at Grand Hyatt Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur 12, Jalan Pinang, Kuala Lumpur 50450
