“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”
If those of you out there who are as big of a Harry Potter fan as I am, you’d know that that’s one of Albus Dumbledore’s famous quotes. And to me, food is light!

Over here at Platform 1094, all my witchy (or wizardy) dreams came true. It literally felt like a scene out of Harry Potter with the magical food and drinks here.
We started off with some drinks that might as well be some sort of whimsical potion.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good with Mr Lich’s Flaming Brew ($15), which is an extraordinary flaming blue concoction that is sure to blow your mind. As an alcoholic drink, this isn’t very strong but definitely worth it for the experience.

Here’s something for the designated broomstick riders or muggle drivers. If I ever had to wonder what Butterbeer tastes like, it’ll probably taste like Mrs.Lich’s Butterscotch Ale ($10). This creamy butterscotch-flavoured drink was topped with thick butterscotch cream that was just so yummy.
An on to the food! Unfortunately, Platform 1094 doesn’t have an enchantment spell that’ll keep refilling your food before it’s done. But fret not! Food here is priced reasonably so, you can definitely afford to eat as much as a giant.

To start, we had the Smoked Salmon Tartare with Homemade Coleslaw Timbale ($14). I’m not usually a fan of salmon but this was so appetising it was like an “alohomora” spell unlocking my appetite.

Fried chicken is certainly “a magic beyond all we do here”. The Platform Wings ($10) although looked seemingly plain but boy, was it bursting with magic! I especially loved how the wings were topped with chicken floss.

For mains, we had the Crab Meat Aglio Olio ($17), which I thought would even make a mermaid want for more.

Next, we had the Pesto Mayo Pork Rib ($22). The meat was so tender it slid off the bone effortlessly! But tastewise, I very much preferred the pasta as this could get a little heavy (or jelak).
If I could summon a “patronus”, my guess is that it’ll probably be in the form of a cake!

The Sweet Treats of the Wizardry World ($12) is a chocolate ganache cake that comes in a form of a spell book! A definite must have for all you chocolate lovers out there.

And for this Christmas month, Platform 1094 is introducing some sweet delights that’ll apparate you into the wizarding world.

So make your way down to Platform 1094 for a magical time! And if you want to immerse yourself further into the wizarding world, you can find props and costumes around.
