I am a huge fan of smoothie bowls, acai bowls, all kinds of fruit based bowls! Especially after a workout when I don't feel like having anything too heavy, an acai bowl is actually the perfect post-workout snack or meal.

That's why when Cabana opened up in Publika, I just had to try their bowls. You can either choose from their menu of acai bowls or create your own. For a small bowl with one topping, it will only cost you RM12.90. Of course as the size increases and the number of toppings too, the price will also follow. But it is still reasonable with the large bowl (of 4 toppings) going for only RM24.90.

There are plenty of toppings for you to choose from here at Cabana. Of course, there are fresh fruits to choose from as well as granola, coconut flakes, chia seeds and other healthy toppings. Their pre-made menu is actually a good range of acai bowls to choose from if you're new to the whole acai bowl and you're not sure where to start.

Tropical Thunder

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, pineapples, apples, soy milk, and coconut milk. Topped with bananas, strawberries, kiwi, mangos, coconut shavings, and granola.

Flex On The Beach (coming soon in mid-Sept)

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, chocolate whey protein, and soy milk. Topped with bananas, vanilla whey protein, peanut butter, cashew butter, and granola.

Pina Colada

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, pineapples, coconut water, and coconut milk.

Peanut Butter & Jelly

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, peanut butter, strawberries, and soy milk.

Superfood Salad

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, kale, spinach, pineapples, and coconut water.

Enter The Dragon (coming soon in mid-Sept)

A blend of frozen acai pulp, bananas, dragonfruit, vanilla whey protein, chia seeds, and soy milk.

Out of all the bowls, my favourite is definitely Flex on the Beach (coming soon in mid-September), which is definitely the one that most gym-goers and fitness junkies will love too. The cashew butter is a great alternative for those who might be allergic to peanuts. And of the smoothies, Enter the Dragon (coming soon in mid-September) had me salivating for more! The experience that Cabana provides is one that is authentic and clean.

You might be paying a premium for the bowls and smoothies here, but understand that real acai is 100% imported from Brazil and comes with a hefty price tag.
