Cinnamon's Fusion Cuisine, Kota Kemuning

Cinnamon's Fusion Cuisine is the kind of friendly neighbourhood restaurant that you keep going back to.

With their Malaysian classics as well as their slightly more adventurous fusion dishes, there's something for everyone. Not to mention, their delicious offerings are also priced reasonably!

The highlight of our tasting was Cinnamon's Briyani. We tried their Bamboo Chicken Briyani (RM18.90) that is served in a bamboo container. You actually witness the Briyani being tapped out of the bamboo container in front of you, adding to the eating experience.

The Briyani was packed full of flavour, something the head chef and owner is infinitely proud of. "You don't need to add curry to it, there's enough spices already. You eat it on its own," he said.

Sure enough, it was true. The spices was countered with the fresh and creamy raita that came with the dish. It was a substantial meal, definitely worth the price you're paying.

My lunch partners and I absolutely loved Cinnamon's Claypot Salmon Fish Head Curry (RM16.50)! It is one of the chef’s signature dishes, and we absolutely loved the assam curry. It certainly packed a bunch of flavour, with beautiful sour and spicy flavours coming through.

The fish itself was delicate and soft, it also wasn't too overwhelmingly fishy. This dish is a definite winner!

Another favourite was Cinnamon's Mutton Masala Pasta (RM18.90) which was my favourite fusion dish. It was an Indian meets Mediterranean dish with lots of spices and masala, I love the strong flavours in this dish!

The Aglio Olio Prawn (RM18.90) was another popular dish. The prawns and squid was cooked perfectly and was surprisingly fresh. The balance between the garlic, oil and spice was also very well done.

The Flaming Chicken Wings (RM11.90) was a delicious appetiser, it is always a Malaysian favourite. While the Fusion Cheesy Toast (RM15.50) would be a popular dish for the kids, with a selection of cheesy toasts with different toppings.

You have to save space for Cinnamon’s Sizzling Pancake (RM16.90)! We tried their Sizzling Blueberry Pancake and we loved the fluffy pancake with warm, tangy blueberry syrup (with whole blueberries). It is also served with creamy vanilla ice cream, that melts slightly after the syrup is poured. So good!

Cinnamon’s also serves Fairtrade coffee and tea. We tried their flat white (RM7.90 medium / RM9.90 large) and iced latte (RM10.90), which was aromatic and strong.

Overall, I was very pleased with my visit to Cinnamon’s. They serve up delicious and fresh dishes at affordable prices, you can’t really go wrong! If you’re ever in the neighbourhood, I highly recommend giving Cinnamon’s a try!
