The Humble Pie, PJ
I love desserts and often find myself craving something sweet. One day, I was just craving for a good banoffee pie. And everywhere I asked I was pointed towards The Humble Pie, so I had to go down and try it out for myself.

I found out they served savoury dishes too and went there for dinner. For starters, I had the Japanese potato salad (RM10). I thought it was pretty good and they had onions and Japanese cucumbers in it, giving the dish a tangy crunch.

Then for the main course, I decided on the cottage pie (RM15). Slow oven-roasted topside beef with onions and vegetables topped with buttery mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese. It came with a side of Waldorf salad and garlic bread. I remember it was a rainy day that day and a warm pie was just the perfect comfort food in the chilly weather.

I was the The Humble Pie with a friend of mine and he ordered the classic Bolognese spaghetti (RM16). We both found that the dish wasn't too spectacular. It did however had a nice homemade taste to it.

And after all that, I finally get to have what I came here for — the famous banoffee pie (RM10). Honestly, I have had a few banoffee pies out there and even tried making my own, but this was just out of this world. The best banoffee pie i have had thus far. Toffee spread on a tart with slices of bananas topped with a generous heaping of thick cream with coffee powder sprinkled on the top. It was definitely the perfect ending to my rainy night. I even bought more to tapao back home!

The sweet pies here are definitely a must try! I heard their musang king pie (RM15) is just heavenly! But it's seasonal, so if they have it, you better try it!
