Still fretting over what to have for reunion dinner this coming lunar new year? Head over to Plaza Brassiere at PARKROYAL at Beach Road as they celebrate the year of the rooster with a Chinese New Year buffet spread from 16 January 2017 to 11 February 2017.

Acclaimed for his expertise in traditional Cantonese roasting techniques, Executive Chef Ken will have a hand in all the dishes for this CNY buffet spread, characterised by a fusion of local, Asian and international flavours. What you need to try at Plaza Brasserie will be their ‘Fa Cai Yu Sheng’. Not only will you see the traditional condiments such as raw salmon slices, dried orange skin and prosperity crackers, there are also interesting additions such as deep fried salmon skin and deep fried chicken skin.

We really believed this Yu Sheng stood out! The ingredients like shredded carrots and radishes were fresh and crunchy. The entire concoction came off really pleasant and the sauce was not sweet, which blended really well with the shredded vegetables.

During reunion dinners, the frequently ordered dish is the ‘Buddha Jump Over The Wall’ soup, comprising of Chinese delicacies such as abalone and sea cucumber which signifies starting the year on an auspicious note. Plaza Brasserie added their twist to it and calls it the ‘Chicken Jump Over The Wall’. This particular dish features a chicken drumstick, sea cucumber, scallops and mushroom. The stock is extremely flavoursome and definitely very comforting for the soul.

Plaza Brassierie offers duck and roasted pork as well. Looking really appetising here is the Braised Eight Treasures Boneless Duck.

The highlight of the media event would be the Salted Egg Crab. Plaza Brasserie’s salted egg crab will have you going back for more, more and more. The sauce was absolutely finger licking good!

Apart from all these dishes, there are other variety of food on the buffet menu that you should try. The prosperity feast will be available from 16th January 2017 so it’s still not too late to reserve a table! You’ll be in for a gastronomical treat!
