Intersect By: Clon, Klang
Situated inside Klang's newest boutique hotel, LAX Boutique Hotel, Intersect By: Clon breathes fresh life into Klang's old town centre.

Moving from Section 12, Petaling Jaya, their new location in Klang is a little out of the way for PJ-folk like me but the food is definitely worth the visit.

I could sit at Intersect: By Clon the whole day. I love the bright colours and bold statement pieces (check out the hanging ladder with lights!), smooth jazz music wafting out of the speakers and the large windows that are perfect to just watch the world pass by on a lazy afternoon.
For starters, I tried Clon's Vietnamese Pizza (RM13 for 8 pizza slices) which is mince chicken, cheese, egg with Clon's secret sauce soaked in pizza slices with Vietnamese rice paper and grilled till slightly crispy. It is unique and fun to eat, and not to mention surprisingly delicious!

The Chicken Tandoori Pesto Fettuccine (RM26) was the standout dish for me. The homemade pesto sauce is beautifully creamy, but not too rich. The colour of the chicken tandoori is definitely striking, and tastes amazing. It is so soft and tender, and is the perfect pairing with the pesto sauce. I also loved all the vegetables in the dish which provides some textural elements and crunch. It is such a unique dish and one of the best pastas I've had in awhile!

The Grilled Rack of Lamb (RM38) tasted as good as it looked. The plating and presentation of the dish was striking, making me eager to taste the dish. The lamb was cooked beautifully, it was tender and marinated well with mint sauce. The dish was served with an interesting mashed potato that had carrots and celery incorporated into it. The lightly sautéed vegetables with honey mustard sauce was also delicious.

I must give points to Intersect: By Clon for their creativity and beautiful plating. It is definitely a step up from your typical cafe. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area.
There are many interesting dishes I would like to try next time, such as, the Seafood Tomyam-Carbonara Spaghetti (RM28) and the Lamb Mushroom Fettuccine (RM28).
Overall, the portions were generous and the prices are all very reasonable. Everything I had was fresh and tasty, the only thing missing is something sweet to end the meal.
However, Intersect: By Clon plans to introduce some desserts soon. Yay! Intersect: By Clon also has live music every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm onwards.
