FOODIE VS THE WORLD 

One of my first experiences with the Castella cake, despite its origins from Japan, was in Korea. It was the dead of winter and we were walking around a largely deserted Ewha's Women's University. A little stall, one of those hole-in-the-walls you would likely walk past, grabbed our attention because of the smell wafting out of it. We bought two castella cakes, freshly baked and indulged in it. Since then, of course, the cake has made its way to our part of the world. Lan
