Having lived in Singapore for a couple of years, I got used to having really great live music places to frequent during the week. I even found myself frequenting the same places just to catch a certain group or singer-songwriter. But when I returned to KL, I was surprised to find that there were far fewer spots with really good live bands to catch. It is a shame, really, since it is such a treat to have after a long day of work.
Thankfully, when Le Noir opened in KL (having hailed from Singapore), it brought a little bit of its culture with it. Live music at Le Noir is top notch and can really make your night out worthwhile.
Of course, the music is best enjoyed with Le Noir's cocktails and drinks. Wednesday nights are ladies night where ladies get free flow of selected cocktails from the bar. Otherwise, it is still great to grab a cocktail because their mixologists make some of the best tipples there are.
But if you're a Mai Tai kind of person, there is a rendition for you too.
If you want something with a stronger flavour, then try their Negroni with orange oil.
But my favourite drink of all time would have to be their gin & tonic. Being a G&T girl myself, I feel like you can't go too wrong with this drink but when everything goes right, it can be one helluva magical drink.
Most of the cocktails here are quite classic and you can also get a Daiquiri, a Manhattan and Caipirinha.
Prices for cocktails at Le Noir range from RM38 to RM50. It may be a little on the pricey side but considering you can sit up at the rooftop area and enjoy a sprawling view of the KL city skyline while listening to awesome live music, I'd say it's worth the splurge.
