Pullman Bangsar Ramadan Buffet 2018

Signs of attractive discounts and promotion for Ramadan buffets are popping up everywhere as the calendar year for the month of fasting is drawing closer.

Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, where people gather to break their fast together.

The Ramadan Buffet at LINK Restaurant Pullman Bangsar not only provides you and your loved ones a time to catch up, it also allows you to savour a generous array of beautiful, rich and robust flavours that South East Asia has to offer.

Do take note that there are two Pullman hotels and this one is not be confused with the Pullman hotel which is situated in the heart of the city center.

Bring along a huge appetite as this year’s theme at LINK Restaurant brings you to different parts of Malaysia to savour 150 different authentic Malaysian dishes. They have set different sections with each specializing in traditional local fare, enjoyable by all.

For starters, we went straight to the Malay food section and started indulging in some classic appetisers. A choice of either beef or chicken satay with peanut sauce and a refreshing mix of fresh Ulam-ulaman.

In addition to that, there are different types of meat ranging from fish, chicken and beef cooked in a traditional Gulai (rich and spicy curry-like sauce). We find that the Ikan Gulai (Fish Gulai) is paired best with their aromatic Nasi Minyak (oil rice). A simple combination yet it was bursting with flavours and it definitely carried the right amount of spiciness.

Another dish not to be missed would be their all-time specialty, which is their whole roasted lamb.

The Indian corner had familiar dishes such as Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Varuval, Dhal, Aloogobi, a variety of Naan and Roti Canai.

We would recommend not to miss is their butter chicken and Nasi Kambing Arab (Arab lamb rice).

Love noodles? Create your very own bowl of Laksa, Prawn Mee or Chicken Soup at the Penang cuisine corner.

If you are not into rich and spicy food, there are fresh seafood and Mongolian grill corners where you can pick the type of seafood and meat you want. I love both of these grill corners because they cook everything a lá minute which retains all the flavours and freshness.

And finally, something sweet to end the night with. We were definitely spoilt for choice with the dessert spread here.

Stroll down memory lane and nibble on some childhood snacks and traditional Raya cookies such as Kuih Bangkit, Dodol, Pineapple Tarts and many more.

Grab some of your favorite Malay kuih like Kuih Lapis and Seri Muka while you are at it.

If you are not a fan of traditional Malaysian desserts, a huge chocolate fountain and some French pastries such as cheesecake, profiteroles, fruit tarts, madeleines and chocolate cake can also be found in this huge dessert spread too. They also have unlimited servings of durian.

As we all say, there is always room for dessert and we got a little greedy and had a bit of everything. We recommend the traditional Malaysian desserts as it stands out from the French pastries.
