Newly revamped Spice Brasserie @ Kitchener Road
Famous for its Asian-style buffet spreads, Spice Brasserie has unveiled a fresh new look alongside an exciting dining concept that embraces the best of Asian street food with innovative surprises.
Robert Chan, Executive Chef of PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road and his team focuses on quality ingredients, authentic flavours and creating dishes from scratch.
The chefs behind these delectable dishes comes from a myriad of countries; namely Malaysia, South Korea, India,Taiwan, and of course, Singapore. This unity of culture and cuisines bring together their love for street food to the next level by featuring lesser-known varieties in unexpected ways.
Spice Brasserie is a perfect venue for family gatherings, cosy meals, dinner-dates, and even corporate dining among business associates who will enjoy the extensive buffet line that comes with four outstanding live stations – Charcoal Grill, Tandoor, Asian Salad Bar and Teppanyaki Ice Cream.
In addition to this new prevalence, Spice Brasserie has introduced an à la carte menu that is ongoing till the 30th of April 2020. This menu will be available during lunch from Monday to Friday; and dinner from Monday to Thursday.
In place of the buffet, customers can look forward to single-serve portions of the buffet-line favourites that include Spice Brasserie's signature tender and juicy Combination Rice (Black Char Siew and Crispy Pork Roll, $6.80), Seafood Broken Rice Porridge ($6.80) that is meticulously cooked in batched over charcoal, and is topped with generous serving of white clams, barramundi and oyster.
Another recommended dish to have is Spice Brasserie's handmade scallion oil noodle ($4.80) –– Handmade pulled noodle tossed in Chef's in-house made scallion oil and topped with thinly sliced fried scallion and freshly chopped spring onion.
Up next was a fancy yet delicate serving of clams cooked in XO sauce ($7.80) – A classic duo that doubles down on the savory notes from the XO sauce and hint of spiciness from the chopped red chili, along with briny, juicy fresh clams was a hit among the crowd that night.
In addition to their signature dishes, our favourite from their new addition is the Assorted Naan with Goan Fish Curry, ($5.80) and Korean Tteokbokki ($5.80).
Ending things on a sweet note, the commendable local dessert to have is Spice Brasserie's homemade Durian Pengat ($$5.80) topped with coconut cream and chewy sticky rice.
There are over 20 options to choose from the newly launched à la carte buffet menu. These mouth-watering dishes comes with an attractive price, which starts from SGD4.80 nett per dish. The price point is definitely a for the buck considering the ambiance and quality of ingredients used.
