Newly Opened Little Farms Bistro in the East Coast @ Katong Point

Little Farm's latest full-serviced restaurant is nestled in the east of Singapore along Joo Chiat Road. Catering to the evolving needs of discerning gourmands, Little Farms has curated a myriad of dishes to embrace healthy and clean eating with an array of tasty yet wholesome meals.

The meals uses sustainable plant-based and meat produces that are procured from ethical farmers, which is also sold in its supermarket situated just right beside the charming Bistro.

Start off your gastronomic experience at Little Farms Bistro with an all-time brunch favourite – Smashed Avocado on Toast ($22). This classic dish needs no introduction and a breakfast staple for many. The smashed avocado toast uses buttery Avocados from Australia a bed nicely toasted in-house made sourdough toast that is made from Italian grade flour. Finally it is topped with two free-range poached eggs, Meredith dairy feta and sprinkled with Dukkah spice.

Pair your meals with some fibrous greens such as Little Farm's Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Roasted Garlic Onion ($16) that features lightly charred brussel sprouts mixed with juicy bacon that has been roasted over 3 hours, and tossed with honey for a tinge of sweetness. Another delightful starter consists of Warm Wilted Curly Kale ($18). The kale is lightly sauteed with extra virgin olive oil and is mixed with baby piccolo tomatoes and caramelized spanish onions that has been slow cooked over low heat to draw the natural sweetness out. The kale is served over a dollop of creamy greek yoghurt and toasted cumin dressing to bring the dish altogether.

Vegetarians might fancy their handmade Pumpkin Gnocchi ($28). The bite-sized pieces of pumpkin gnocchi is tossed with a mixture of toasted nuts for an added crunch factor, mixed with aromatic & earthy fresh sage, light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and lastly, topped off with a generous portion of freshly shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano.

The pumpkin gnocchi was soft yet delicate, and had a nice balance of sweet-salty flavours. The flavours were predominantly from the usage of roasted pumpkin that was naturally sweet alongside the rich and sharp flavours of the Italian cheese. The combination was simple yet beautifully executed and was by far our favourite dish amongst the rest.

Hearty and wholesome dishes include the Chicken Schnitzel Burger ($20) that comprises of a lean free-range chicken patty that is coated with gluten-free breadcrumbs and deep-fried to a golden crisp. In addition to that, mild cheddar cheese, tomato slices, lettuce and aioli is sandwiched alongside the patty with their house-made multi-seed burger buns. Alas, served with a classic accompaniment of chips and salad to complete the meal.

Meat-lovers might find Little Joe's Striploin (220gm ; $39) a treat! Not only is the striploin imported from Australia, but it is grass-fed and free-range too! The steak uses only the basics of seasoning such as salt and black pepper for the optimum flavour, and grilled to perfection. Alongside the steak comes a side of salad and fries as well as an in-house made beef jus.

Look forward to an inviting selection of dessert choices to end your meal with, each with its own healthy spin! Firstly, the Superbee Manuka Honey Cake ($12) consists layers of Superbee manuka honey cake that uses manuka honey from Australia. With that, it is thinly spread with a smooth caramelized condensed milk filling. Lastly, end it with a decadent piece of Tahini Brownie ($12) – influenced with an unique mixture of middle eastern flavours. The softyet-cakey brownie is incorporated with tahini and homemade halva, paired with Hackney Vanilla Gelato from London.
