New set menus @ Taste Paradise
We recently had the luxury to indulge ourselves in an array of innovative dim sum and roasting fare at Taste Paradise. Featuring a diverse combination of classic Cantonese and Contemporary Chinese cuisine, the 3 newly launched individual set menus are available at $36.80 per person, $48 per person and $68 per person (minimum two persons). You may also elevate your dining experience with wine pairings at only $38 per person.

We start off the $68 menu with the Combination of Chilled Black Fungus and Jellyfish in Vinaigrette, served with Crispy Whitebait Tossed with Salt and Pepper, and Crackling Pork Belly. Accentuating a favourable flavour on the taste buds, the appetiser was best paired with the 2018 Yalumba Y series Viognier Barossa white wine.

Next, we tried the Double-boiled Shredded Shark’s Cartilage Soup. Boiled to a hearty perfection, the thick and tasty broth was cooked with premium ingredients such as shark’s cartilage, old chicken, pork, white fungus and chicken feet.

Next on the menu is the Stewed Japanese Kurobuta Pork. Marinated with house made barbeque sauce permeating every inch of the superbly tender loin meat, it went really well with the 2017 Chateau Ste Michelle Dry Riesling red wine.

After a sumptuous indulgent in succulent and juicy kurobuta pork, the lightly Poached Chinese Cabbage with Conpoy in Superior Stock was served to alleviate the palate before the second main-course. The naturally sweet flavours of the cabbage paired perfectly with their in-house made superior stock as well as a nice note of umami flavours from the conpoy.

Moving on to the highlight and crowd favourite of the night, the Stir-fried Ramen with Lobster in XO sauce – Meaty and fresh lobster was served along with stir-fried ramen that cloaks each mouthful with a pleasant charred flavour. It is then laced off with an amalgamation of flavors, including sweet, smoky, salty with a hint of heat XO-sauce. Enjoy these concoction of flavours with a glass of full bodied Cotena Zapato Vista Flores 2017 Argentina.

We ended off the menu with a bowl of Almond Cream with Peach Resin that was velvety and decently sweetened. However, the dessert had a rather strong almond flavour, and might not be for everyone.
In addition to all of the above, enhance your meal experience with an addition of wine for an additional S$38/person. These set menu offerings are only available for a limited time only and while stocks lasts.
Do head onto their website for more information and for reservation inquiries.
