Mulberry Boutique Hotel, Siem Reap
Whenever we travel, especially to cities we’ve never been to before, we tend to look out for more charming, boutique hotels to stay at - rather than always staying at familiar brand properties. We find that when we go for boutique hotel experiences, we are able to immerse ourselves a little better into the local culture.
Especially in the case of Mulberry Boutique Hotel in Siem Reap, we found this to be so true.

This charming modern boutique hotel boasts all the features of a luxury residence with its 13 private suites. With both family suites that fit four to six and normal suites to fit couples, this holiday getaway is perfect for any type of traveller.

From its tranquil swimming pool to the relaxing lounge bar next to it to the welcoming restaurant area in the hotel, Mulberry Boutique Hotel ticks all the right boxes.

We weren’t expecting to be put up in a family suite for our trip to Siem Reap, but we were super blessed to be able to experience it. The family suites are located upstairs and each boast a duplex layout with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

What I loved about the room the most was the HUGE space! (It’s probably bigger than our apartment back home and a lovely treat!) We even had our own living area, where we could unwind daily with some banana chips (a famous snack in Siem Reap and given to us daily by the hote staff).

Upstairs, the little enclave of a bedroom is a lot more private, with a heavy curtain to cordon off the area from the stairs if you wish. It is also a nice place to cool off from the relentless Cambodian weather!

Of course, a beautiful hotel is nothing without its service. And boy, does Mulberry Boutique Hotel surpass every service standard out there. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with cold towels, a refreshing passion fruit juice and a fruit cup - a wonderful respite from the heat.
Throughout our entire stay at Mulberry Boutique Hotel, the same hospitality was extended to us and every single guest on the property at all times.
Even as we were having one of our last meals on the hotel property (a 6AM breakfast, specially made early to accommodate our early morning flight), staff greeted us by name and a smile.

If there is one hotel I would return to in the future when I come to Siem Reap next, it would be Mulberry Boutique Hotel.
