Knowhere @ Bangsar
We are back again at Knowhere, Bangsar. And the last time one of us was here, it was pretty darn good. But personally, this was my first time dining at Knowhere.
I was excited to try some main dishes as I the food menu itself was rather enticing. I was introduced to the prawn garlic tomato salsa (RM28) first. The prawns came and were rather large, but I didn't find them very fresh. The tomato salsa that accompanied it was quite mild to, but there was a strong garlicky flavour, which I thought brought the dish together. I would recommend to pair this dish with a mug of cold beer.

I also tried the Fumed Duck (RM30.80). It is a smoked duck breast served with sherry reduction, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and seared plums. The presentation of this dish was excellent and super fancy. Apart from how it looks, the duck was had a strong and lingering smokey flavour and I enjoyed every bite of it.

My favourite dish was the Flank Reuben Sandwich (RM35), which consists of 150gm of flank steak, sauerkraut, onions and jalapenos with monterey jack cheese in sourdough served with fries. The sandwich was very juicy and easy to bite into. It’s a great choice of main dish if you’re hungry from work and looking to fill your belly before some drinks. However, the fries were a little disappointing as they were soggy when it got to me.

Of course, we had to try the cocktails. I had the Gone with the Wind (RM38) which had an interesting tropical flair to it. This drink is one for those with a sweet tooth, but not for me as I would personally prefer something less sweet.

I also tried Rise of the Planet of the Apes (RM40). This is essentially an Asian version of the classic Bourbon Old Fashioned. Instead of Bourbon, Monkey Shoulder is used as the spirit base here to give it a more local twist. And to top it off, the drink was completed with a torched kamquat on the side.

Overall, Knowhere is a great place to hang out as they have a wide range of food and cocktail menu. The best part of this place is ladies night which happens every Wednesday from 9pm onwards. They also hold various fun events here such as quiz nights, adoption drives, brew and brush etc. Be sure to check out their events on their Facebook page in the link here: https://www.facebook.com/knowherebangsar/
