The pandemic might've ruined our chance to savour authentic delicacies abroad, but we are glad Kota 88 has an array of authentic Indo-Chinese food to keep our Indonesian food cravings satisfied.

Kota 88 serves Masakan Tionghoa Indonesia (Chinese Indonesian Cuisine), which is a mix of Chinese dishes with local Indonesian culinary characteristics, and is situated in a quaint little neighborhood along East Coast Road. Kota 88 is also one of the first Indo-Chinese restaurant in Singapore and is currently available for islandwide-delivery via Grabfood and Deliveroo.

Whet your appetite with Kota88's Sate Babi (Assorted Pork Satay, $15.88). The Chinese-Indonesian style pork satay comes in 10 stick and is served with shredded galangal ginger, green chili shallot pickles and sweet soy sauce with the choice of sate – Sate Babi Manis (Sweet marinated pork satay), Sate Babi Asin (Savoury marinated pork satay), Sate Ati (Pork liver satay), Sate Usus (Pork intestine satay), or Sate Kulit (Pork skin satay).

If you love having soup along with your meals, the Sup Baikut ($15.88) is a classic take on Singapore's Chinese style pork ribs and salted egg vegetable soup. Kota 88's Sup Baikut was simple yet comforting as it was still warm upon delivery, and had a generous portion of tender pork ribs and crunchy salted vegetable.

Another worthy dish to order is the Mie Goreng Spesial Kota88 ($14.88) – A myriad of simple ingredients such as fried noodles, beef, chicken, pork, Chinese sausage, fish cake, chye sim and bean sprouts, fried altogether that boasts a pleasant "wok" charred flavour.

Pork lovers rejoice! Kota 88's signature item – Nasi Campur Babi ($12.88) is a rendition of Indonesia's iconic Nasi Campur that is usually served with meats, vegetables, peanuts, eggs, and fried shrimp crackers. Their rendition includes BBQ pork, roast pork, sweet pork satay, braised pig ear, siomay, soy egg, and fried prawn beancurd roll, and served with fragrant white rice and in-house made sambal. A perfect choice for those who love to have a little bit of everything in one serving!
