GinRikSha Lunch Menu, Bukit Damansara

One of our favourite Indian fusion places, GinRikSha, has just introduced their new lunch menu. So, of course we brought a few friends with us and reviewed a few of their dishes!

All the lunch dishes comes with a free drink and the prices are very reasonably priced (all the dishes were not more than RM22), so you can eat well without breaking the bank!

We first tried the soups, and boy were we impressed! The Lentil and Spinach Soup (RM15) was a revelation! We loved the thick and creamy soup, that was hearty and so delicious. The lentils were cooked perfectly and it was paired well with the fresh baby spinach. It was a lovely vegetarian dish that I would not hesitate to order again.

The Spicy Crab Soup (RM16) was another delight! It is a crab rasam that was rich and full of flavour. I must say, it was one of the better crab rasams I've had!

Next, we had the Dried Shrimp Sambal Sandwich (RM16). It is GinRikSha's version of a chicken floss sandwich! It is made with spicy sambal shrimp floss, egg, tomato and cucumber. The flavours work very well together and I love the choice of bread.

The Spicy Prawn and Garlic Pasta (RM20) is GinRikSha's version of aglio olio. I love the freshness and simplicity of this pasta dish. The prawns were fresh and well cooked, and it was tossed with fresh tomatoes, parsley, lemon and chillies - lovely!

I absolutely loved the rice dishes on the lunch menu! The Maharaja Plate (RM22) was one of the standouts during our lunch. The beef rendang was tender and flavourful, and it went perfectly with the amazing chilli brinjal and pickled vegetable. Customers can also opt for chicken rendang if you don't fancy beef.

Another favourite was the Chao Phraya (RM22), which was sweet and sour fish with omelette, cucumber relish and fried rice. The fish was well balanced and fresh, the relish fresh and tangy, and the omelette was a perfect compliment.

GinRikSha's Chicken Pot Pie (RM20) is not your typical chicken pot pie. It is filled with kerala chicken and potato stew, giving the pie a distinct Indian touch, and we LOVED it! The filling was sensational and the pie crust was browned nicely (just the way we like it). Do give the chicken pie a try if you're up for a hearty lunch!

And of course, we cannot leave GinRikSha without having dessert!

We absolutely loved their Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding, so we just had to try their Cranberry Bread and Butter Pudding, and you know what? It was just as DELICIOUS! Oh my, what can I say? GinRikSha produces the best bread and butter puddings in Kuala Lumpur!

The Creme Caramel (RM10) was another worthy contender in the dessert field. The texture was smooth and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. I also loved the hint of orange, delicious!

Overall, GinRikSha's lunch was just as enjoyable as their dinner. The affordable dishes are hearty, unique and cooked well. We will definitely be coming back for lunch!
