Exclusive Summer Specials @ Brotzeit
The best part about living in Singapore is the hot tropical weather all year long! We are turning up the heat on Brotzeit's new exclusive summer specials that is now available on the menu.
We started our evening with Brotzeit's Summer cocktails! We had the Blushing Summer ($15 - left) which is a mix of grapefruit juice, vodka and honey and the refreshing Basil and Gin cooler ($16 - right) topped with a lemon garnish. Truly the perfect thirst quenchers in Singapore's sunny weather.
This Grevensteiner beer is also now available during this season. It has a rich and malty body with a slight crisp to finish and slightly hazy, making it perfect for the summer. Do check with the specific outlets for the prices of the pint if you are interested.
Chef Wolfgang Ranner the Group Executive Chef made an appearance for the night and explained to us the new summer additions to the menu.
We started off with the Muscheln in Weißweinsoße ($19) also known as White Wine Infused Mussels with a symphony of fresh herbs and vegetables – garlic, shallots, carrots, celeriac and leek – and served with a side of ciabatta bread. The broth of this dish was delicious and light, perfect for the start of the meal.
The next course was a Barsch “Müllerin Art” mit Mandelbutter ($58), an entire grouper fish seasoned and pan-seared to perfection. This was served with melted almond butter and herb potatoes on the side. The fish was perfectly cooked, but the almond butter was just out of this world, tying the whole dish together.
Then we moved on to the star of the dish for the night! Brotzeit Grillplatte is a barbecue platter featuring grilled pork and chicken fillets, classic Thüringer snail sausages, bacon strips, and a pair of minced beef and pork skewers. This was served with a side of grilled corn. This is available in different sizes depending on your group of buddies (or how hungry you and your buddies are).
We finished the night with a Gouda Käse Kuchan ($10) also known as a Gouda cheese cake brûlée, which was fully served with raspberries, mixed nuts oat cookie and a smooth vanilla sauce. This is perfect for sharing as the cheesecake is quite dense and can be quite heavy.
Brotzeit's seasonal Summer Menu is available exclusively between 19 July to 31 August 2018. So do hurry before the season ends, a great place to chill and unwind with your family with quality produce for sharing.
