Dusk Restaurant & Bar @ Mt Faber

Tired of the buzzing Lion city and looking for a quiet spot to relax and unwind from a hectic day of work? Take the cable car up to Dusk Restaurant & Bar that has an amazing view right on the hilltop!

Executive Chef Kenny Yeo unveils a refreshed menu of his signature style that combines French techniques with some Asian influences. The cosy ambiance and alfresco dining setting is ideal for a romantic night out or an ideal location for a get-together with family and friends.

We started off the night with some cocktails. Here is one of their iconic signatures - Dusk till Dawn ($16). This drink concoction consist of Gin, Vodka, Rum, Tequila, Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice, Peach syrup topped with Cranberry Juice! Yes that's a whole lot of spirits served in a lightbulb. If you would like to opt for a sweeter drink on a hot evening, then this may be the drink for you.

This Smoking Nitro Margarita ($16) comes with a choice of Lychee, Pineapple, Strawberry or Watermelon with Tequila, Triple Sec Curacao and Sour Mix. I decided to have a frozen Lychee Margarita and this was extremely refreshing after a long day!

Moving on to the Signature dish Duck Rillette Au Gratin ($22++) which comes from the French Perigord region which is made up if slow-cooked duck cooked at a low temperature between 7 hours - overnight then shredded onto slices of Ciabatta bread topped with a warm layer of cheese and served with a side salad. Sadly the duck was not very prominent on our ciabatta.

If you are a fan of avocado then this Crab and Mango Stack ($18++) is just for you! A generous helping of shredded crab meat is stacked on top of a chopped salad of mango, avocado and tomato dressed with oilve oil and a touch of tobasco sauce. This flavour combination is a winner although it would have been nice to have some nachos or flat bread to accompany this dish.

Craving for some seafood? This tapas dish - Wine Poached Oysters ($22++) is extremely delicious with a herb-infused white wine sauce topped with salty pearls of ikura. It looks small but definitely filling and a great kickstarter prior to the main course.

The main course we tried was the Pan Seared Snapper ($28++). This is a perfectly cooked red snapper fillet that is pan-seared with a crispy skin served on a bed of zesty mango salsa, crushed potatoes and cres. If you are looking for something lighter for dinner then this would be suitable portion packed with zesty flavours.

We ended the night with a Guinness Chocolate Cake ($18++) Oh yes! if you are a Guinness drinker this dense chocolate cake baked with rich flavours will have you coming back for more. This was sinfully delicious and a great way to end the night!

Overall we had a splendid evening on top of the hill which was very relaxing! If you are a wine drinker, Sommelier Mohamed Yazid will recommend you wines with over 51 labels, curated carefully to go together with your meal. Also on Fridays and Saturdays Dusk Restaurant & Bat will be adding an additional Late night Happy Hour slot from 10pm to 12am. Guest will be able to enjoy a complimentary cable car ride from Harbourfront up to Mount Faber between 9:30pm to 11:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays! The return journey can be purchased from the ticket counter at only $5!
