DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang
I haven't been back to Penang in ages and I think this is my first visit without my family. Therefore, I had a bit more freedom to do as I wished.
The team and I were fortunate enough to stay at the beautiful DoubleTree Resort by Hilton. Situated just adjacent to Batu Ferringhi, the unique beachfront design allow guests across various floors and rooms to have an unobstructed view of beach, sea, and beyond. It was a unique concept and definitely eye-catching when seen from afar.
The rooms are large, luxurious, and spacious. And we had the most incredible view where we woke up to beautiful sunrises in the morning.
Probably one of the best things I like about the room is it's huge balcony! All four of us could have done yoga out there and still have plenty of space to spare. It made being outside so much more appealing especially when combined with the amazing view from the balcony.
However, my absolute favourite thing about the resort is the pools; one adult pool, and a kiddy sand pool. It made sunbathing so much fun and quite literally, perfect. And I have my sun-kissed skin to prove it.
Breakfast was served at the Makan Kitchen restaurant downstairs of the resort. A wonderful way to start the day with their large variety of foods and cuisines - of which the ultimate thing had to be their fresh-made Roti with Chicken Curry which was truly delicious.
DoubleTree Resort has amenities and services aplenty to serve you whether you're on a holiday or a business trip. Book their ballrooms and conference rooms if you have meetings or check out their wonderful pedestrian bridge that takes you across the road and straight to the beach with amazing views.
Do note however, that it's a fair drive away from Georgetown, especially during rush hour - so if you're visiting without a car this location may be a bit out of the way for you. That said, they do provide a shuttle service to town and back, once a day, so that is something to consider.
We had an incredible time in Penang, and will definitely be back at Doubletree Resort by Hilton!
