Crème De La Crème @ Damansara Uptown
Calling all dessert lovers, there’s a new dessert haven in town! Crème De La Crème is the new go to place for mouth-watering ice cream and cakes. CDLC takes pride in using all natural ingredients, top of the line machinery and no preservatives or artificial colourings. Their pastry chef is trained under celebrity dessert master, Christy Tania.
You can find 18 ice cream flavours here, many which are inspired by local flavours such as Musang King, Barley Lime, Pandan Kaya Toast, Limau Assam etc. Also, you’ll never get bored of their flavours because they will be introducing 2 new flavours every month.

(An array of 18 delightful flavours)
I tried a selection of flavours from their degustation menu (Barley Lime Sorbet, Dragon Fruit Strawberry Sorbet, Limau Assam Sorbet, Madagascar Ash, Cerealicious, Cookies & Cream, Pandan Kaya Toast, French Earl Grey Boba and Roasted Pistachio).
For someone who grew up eating ice cream for breakfast, I truly enjoyed Cerealicious which is made from soaking cereal in fresh milk as the base flavour. Breakfast fusion-style is served.
The other flavour which stood out for me was the cookies & cream. This is much more sophisticated than your basic vanilla ice cream with Oreo bits combination. The cookies & cream ice cream here is made from chocolate cookies baked in-house and vanilla ice cream mixed with 63% Weiss dark chocolate from France. It is rich in texture with a toasty taste.

Apart from ice cream, be sure to check out their Unicorn drink. It may look like something overly sweet, but you’d be surprise to find that it isn't! It consists of fresh lemonade, dragon fruit sorbet and butterpea flowers. I was very excited for this because it is not just another unicorn gimmick. It was so refreshing and made from all natural ingredients!

I also tasted some of their petit gateaux including Beauty & the Beast (RM25), Bunny (RM22) and Da Bomb! (RM25). It all looked beautiful but my favourite was Da Bomb! It is made from 63% dark chocolate ice cream, hazelnut ganache and Madagascar Vanilla ice cream. Each flavour enhanced one another.

(Da Bomb!)
Overall, if you’re looking for master chef quality desserts with a reasonable price (RM10.90 per scoop), definitely check out Crème De La Crème. Each flavour has a vision behind so be sure to ask their staffs about it!
