ANTE Set Lunch Menu 2018
ANTE, our favourite restaurant for pork steak is back at it again, with a new set lunch menu for 2018! Now, you can also enjoy their tantalizing dishes for lunch while going easy on your wallet.
Here's what's new for their 2018 Set Lunch Menu.
We'll start off with their Small Plates sections. These sides are appropriately sized and are perfect for sharing or it can also act as something light to accompany your mains.

Mushroom Soup (RM9.50)
A lunch set is never complete without a good hot bowl of mushroom soup. ANTE's rendition of this classic soup is one of the best out there as it is freshly made with wild mushroom (that you can actually taste, not like those instant mushroom soups out there). You can't go wrong with this as a perfect appetiser.

Creamy Polenta (RM8.50)
Now this really blew me away. The polenta (which is boiled cornmeal) is mashed with Gula Melaka bacon bits, corn and topped with cherry tomatoes. The polenta itself is amazing and paired with bacon bits, it brings this to a whole other level.

Crushed Potato & Mushroom (RM8.50)
If you love potatoes like me, you will love this too. Crushed crunchy potatoes topped with shimeiji mushroom and parmesan - the most awesome combination ever. The potatoes are crunchy to the bite; so simple yet truly delicious. Perfect for sharing.

Ham & Cheese Croquette (RM9.50)
If you'd prefer something sinful, you can't go wrong with the croquette. Stuffed with ham & cheese, this dish will leave you wanting for more. It also comes with garlic, paprika and mayo dipping sauce for that added flavour.

Chargrilled Striploin Steak (RM25.50)
Now, the star of the show. For mains, we begin with the Chargrilled Striploin Steak. ANTE is known for its pork steak and this dish shows it well. 200 gm of charcoal grilled pork striploin perfectly cooked to perfection and served with creamy polenta and side salad sounds like a heavy lunch and we can guarantee that it is.
I'm quite a big eater and I found this dish to very extremely filling. So go for this if you have a big appetite for lunch. Do note that the polenta side is the same portion as the ala-carte polenta, minus the bacon bits. It's a great value dish to have for lunch.

Rolled Pork Loin (RM23.50)
If you prefer a different cut, try the Rolled Pork Loin. 180 gm of thick cut pork loin, rolled with thyme, citrus infused raisins and mushrooms, and served with our favourite creamy polenta and side salad.
The pork loin has a slightly different taste profile to the striploin. It has more of the porky taste with lesser fat percentage. So if you prefer leaner meat, I recommend you to go for this.

Open Steak Sandwich (RM17.90)
If you're looking for something 'lighter', try their Open Steak Sandwich. Thinly sliced pork loin drizzled with homemade honey mustard sauce on top of toasted country bread makes for an interesting combination. A classic hearty lunch sandwich with a touch of ANTE's famous pork is just what you need to fill you up midday.
You can add on a side of fries or salad for an additional RM5.

Pulled Pork Burger (RM16.90)
Last but not least is the Pulled Pork Burger. Instead of the classic pork patty, ANTE uses slow cooked pork shoulder in brioche, topped with a sunny side up egg, homemade chipotle sauce, jalapeño and pickled red cabbage.
Warning -- it's a little messy but very much worth being sloppy for. Again, you can add on a side of fries or salad for an additional RM5.
