Montigo Resorts Seminyak, Bali

It’s been a very long time since my last visit to Bali - about 12 years to be exact. And my last memory of it was Kuta Beach, quiet and peaceful after the unfortunate Bali bombing in 2005.

Coming back to Bali again after so long was like visiting the place for the very first time. I didn’t know what to expect. Especially since this time, we would be staying in Seminyak, rather than Kuta.

We were graciously hosted by Montigo Resorts Seminyak during our stay in Bali and man, what a beautiful resort it is! Bright hues of blue welcome you as you enter the compound. A swimming pool that is open to the public is one of the first things you see, right in between the lobby and TIIGO restaurant.

Lush greenery adorns the public areas of the resort. You almost feel like you’re hiding away in a forest retreat rather than a Bali resort. The whole resort boasts modernity with just a hint of that coastal theme throughout.

That exact theme is evident in the rooms. Light turquoise colours remind us of the ocean while dark greens and animal motifs bring us back to that foresty facade all around the resort. Though this is a popular resort for families, it was also very quiet most of the time.

We loved that there was a bath tub in the room so we could kick back and relax in the water even after the resort’s THREE swimming pools have closed.

Another very relaxing spot is at the balcony, where you look out at coconut trees and catch the morning sun. Between the comfy beds inside the room and the equally comfortable day bed outside, we were not quite sure which one to spend more time in.

If you're looking for a relaxing stay in one of the most exciting parts of Bali, Montigo Resorts Seminyak is the best option!

We would definitely be back here again - for the amazing hospitality and proximity to the fun!
