Perth locals will now have access to a new Jersey Jack Gelato outlet as they recently launched their grand opening at Westfield Whitford City, Perth.

The grand opening was a wonderland for foodies as Jersey Jack Gelato marks this enchanting occasion by exhibiting their most unique gelato flavours and treats!

Fans of this originally Malaysian born outlet were treated to many giveaways throughout the launch week and the first 50 customers to race to the outlet between Thursday and Sunday will received a complimentary Mostros, double scoops, donut cones and gelato's!!

We were recently invited to their Como outlet for a sneak peak of their delicious goodies. The outlet was cosy and expanded to an outdoor garden setting with wood furniture. The menu was handpicked by the manager who promised us an unforgettable experience.

First, we had the Durian gelato in a donut cone. Just the smell of it brought me back to my Malaysian days where I would indulge in $10 durian buffets with friends in Petaling Jaya. Tasting the dish brought us to a whole new level of awe. It was creamy, a stunning yellow-coloured gelato that resembled the fruit and paired with the sugary donut was bliss.

Some of their other Malaysian favourite flavours such as Milo and Honeycomb, Salted Palm Sugar (Gula Melaka), Teh Tarik, Bandung and more in the form of sorbets, gelatos, sherbets, mousse and yogurts were introduced as a Merdeka promotion is now part of the menu due to high demand!

Another Malaysian flavour, the pandan coconut was incorporated to our next dish. The visually stunning waffle tower was sandwiched together with matcha and banoffee (banana toffee) flavoured gelato. The waffle was crunchy and not too sweet, just the way we preferred it. Our favourite flavour was the banoffee and we found ourselves racing over it!

As we were about to finish our tower, in came the finale; a jumbo Mostro. Exclaiming "I knew you'd love it", the manager handed over the cone balanced with three scoops of gelato. The sweeter selections to finish up a sunny afternoon included cheesecake, raspberry, cookies and cream, topped with chocolate and other sprinkles of sweets. We must have taken a hundred photo's before stuffing our faces with these babies. No regret whatsoever, for the flavours were all amazing and left us satisfied.

We were offered coffee, but after the adventure we had just gone through, water was sufficient to seal the deal.

This is a place I will recommend to anyone who wants to indulge selfishly, and expect nothing less than an unforgettable experience.
