Meat lovers are in for a wonderful treat over at Naughty Nuri's! Having just opened their fourth Malaysian outlet in Atria Shopping Gallery back in October 2016, this trendy yet homely brand seems unstoppable when it comes to conquering the local market.

Isnuri Suryatmi, “Nuri” and her husband, Brian Aldinger opened their roadside warung in Ubud, Bali in 1995 and it became famous for its tantalising BBQ pork ribs prepared with Balinese spices and a secret sauce. Since then, the brand has continued to innovate to introduce new offerings to its loyal patrons. We went down to try out their brand new Celebrations Platter and we were not disappointed!

Our eyes were immediately drawn to the enormous platter and we began to salivate as soon as we saw the waiter coming our way. The Octopus Acar was incredibly spicy but refreshing, which certainly provided a change of taste from the rest of the elements on the platter. My personal favourite on the platter was the Calamari Rings. The battered coating was light and crispy. On the contrary, the squid on the inside was surprisingly soft and very fresh. We were also served the 'Devilish Porky Cheesy Nachos' (RM 25). This dish is the perfect matrimony of the rich and creamy nacho cheese sauce, accompanied by the mildly spicy pork gravy. If you are a huge meat and cheese fan, this is definitely a MUST TRY!

The crowd favourite was definitely Naughty Nuri's 1995 Signature BBQ Spare Ribs (RM49). The rack of succulent and tender meat slid right off the bone and literally melted in our mouths. The ribs are generously marinated in Balinese spices and glazed with their renowned BBQ sauce.

The 'Indonesian Style Nasi Goreng Sambal Kambing' (RM28) is one of the newest additions to their delectable menu. I am not usually a lamb fan, however I did very much enjoy this dish as the lamb slices were surprisingly not gamy at all as how I had expected it. The addition of the crunchy prawn crackers and the very simple but delicious fried egg made it even more scrumptious.

But food isn't all Naughty Nuri's is good for. Be sure to try out their drinks too! Nuri's Punch

(RM 28.80) is a lovely concoction of lychee, lemon, mint, asam boi candy and ice cream soda. This truly was the ultimate palate cleanser.

There is nothing better than great food in a cosy environment, resulting in a happy and contented stomach. Naughty Nuri's is a great place for family get-togethers, which is why I'll be sure to be back to try their 50% off lunch promo, featuring some of their most popular Balinese dishes.
