Tamoya Udon, Liang Court

Tamoya Udon is an authentic Japanese udon restaurant that has 31 outlets across Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. The dishes are handmade on site with ingredients imported from Japan.

Chef Tamotsu Kurokawa, who was crowned the sanuki udon champion when he entered TV Champion, a reality cooking show in Japan, established Tamoya Udon in 1996. He believes that delicious udon can create smiles and happiness; So the udon he makes is like a token of appreciation to his guests for their patronage.

Tamoya has recently released its brand-new offerings, combining sukiyaki and udon, creating an innovative way of enjoying udon. The hotpots are heated upon ordering, so that the soup is kept simmered and piping hot throughout the meal, giving the customers a chance to eat the food hot throughout the entire dinner!

Tamoya Udon has just released this new hotpot menu, giving us a chance to enjoy four delicious kind of mainstays :

Beef Sukiyaki Udon ($13.80) has really thin juicy slices of beef, served with chinese cabbage, carrots, green onions, tofu, shiitake mushroom, enoki mushroom and shirataki (noodles made from konnyaku).

There's 3 ways to eat this dish to get the perfect and best taste out of it!

Dip the chewy udon into the egg mixture;

Immerse the udon in the soup for awhile to get a softer texture ;

Mix the egg with the soup and udon to enjoy them together!

Double Tempura Vegetable Udon ($13.80): I'd say the serving portion is generous and this dish is quite light, as its mostly just vegetables and crispy fried tempura prawns.

Spicy Pork Miso Udon ($13.80): Spicy food lovers, this is one you'll love! The spiciness is subtle, it comes from the onions so its not that bad. I felt it was more to the sweet side than spicy, which was a little disappointing.

Maze Mix Udon ($8.80) was aMAZE-ing; This was our favourite among all, as it is affordable and the portion is generous. This Udon comes with spicy minced pork, green onions, leek, garlic, bonito powder, seaweed and eggs; Once you mix all these goodies together, it releases an explosions of flavours which just makes you want more! Definitely a must order when you come here!
