Six By Sera, Rangoon Road

If donuts, croissants and cute choux are your kind of thing, then it's time to visit Six by Sera! Located at Rangoon Road (opposite the Brunch Cafe), this mini cafe will be your dream cafe if you have a sweet tooth. As we opened the glass doors to the cafe, we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked, buttery goods. The fragrance got us all excited for the food and desserts we were about to try.

What they are famous here for are their savoury donuts, and you would not want to miss on them ($2.90) which comes in 3 different flavours - Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese and Truffle Oil, Minced Beef & Chedder Cheeseburger topped with Jalapeño, and Bacon and Mozzarella. We loved the unique combination of salty mixtures on the donuts.

The café also serves mini choux, for those who want little bites to complement their coffee. Some of the flavours we tried were salted caramel, raspberry, and almond praline. Each choux had its own unique taste and punch, plus the pastry cream was just so soft and smooth.

Six by Sera features signatures that are served only on the weekends, which includes Smoky Pork Croissant ($12.90). I love croissants and we must say, the croissants here are to die for. The croissants are soft, oh-so-buttery, with a crust so flaky that you'll risk getting crumbs all over your clothes - but it is worth it.

And if we have to pick a favourite out of the lot here at Six by Sera, it would have to be the croissant served with Chilli Crab Sauce ($11.90). Just imagine when you go to Chinese restaurants and have mantous with your chilli crab sauce... except the mantou is replaced with the lightest, fluffiest croissant in the world. What a decadent treat!
Overall, it was a magnificent experience here at Six by Sera, one that we would gladly repeat.
