Singapore is absolutely buzzing with excitement this weekend! The Chang Sensory Trail is here! It is a culinary journey curated by Chef Bo (awarded Asia’s Best Female Chef 2013) and her husband Chef Dylan. With multiple vendors offering different types of Thai dishes, there is surely something enjoyable waiting for everyone here. Of course, don’t forget to grab a Chang while you are at it. Let’s have a look at some of our top picks from the event below.

If you love soup, go for something light and easy like the Thai Lobster Bisque. Basically, it’s an interpretation of a clear version of Tom Yum Goong but of course, tom yum being normally spicy, you might want to share this with someone or grab another dish to pair this with if you can't do spicy. But mmm, what a treat it was!

We also tried the Prawn Crackers, a nice snack to munch on while waiting for the beers. It seems to be a Thai version of our Popiah. It is the perfect beer food!

We also had a go at their Thai sliders. It was an amazing interpretation of tom yum flavoured pork burgers, as they were juicy, yet not too spicy. It was so good you might order a second round. In fact, just go for that second round, you won't regret it!

What I have always admired about the Thais is their ability to amazingly incorporate fruits into their dishes. This Watermelon Fried Rice was no exception. While the rice on its own was a tad bland, only carrying the slight taste of vinegar and nuts, once you mix in the watermelon, it pulls the entire dish together!

To pair with the Watermelon Fried Rice, if you need a little bit of kick, do get a plate of their Chiang Mai Larp. Again, the Thais do not hold back on their spice so brace yourself with some water (or Chang! Lots of it!). This dish gave us a good kick but we enjoyed the crispy chicken that came with a whole lot of spice.
