Honestly, I hadn't heard of the brand before. So when I was told I'd be dining at Motorino during a food trip to Genting, I was unfazed. Apparently the wood fire pizza brand hails from New York but I was none the wiser till actually getting there.

I often say that once brands come into Malaysia, I believe their quality tends to drop a little. Not that I have tried Motorino anywhere else but I believe even comparing to other local Western places, there is a long way to go for this brand here in terms of quality.

I can't say the meatball was outstanding or the best I'd ever tasted. It was at most mediocre.

For the pizza, I had been expecting a thinner crust. Our pizza was slightly undercooked and still had wet dough, which was not a good thing.

Even our chicken wings, which had an Asian twist to it, were pretty average. I am not sure how they expect to compete with the number of other, better food joints in the area.

The saving grace came in the form of their desserts. Both their desserts were outstandingly delicious. The chocolate cake was moist and dense and everything a good chocolate cake should be, while the tiramisu packed a punch in its flavours and was served in a decent portion.
