Vineria.It, Bangsar Shopping Centre
This was my first visit to Vineria. It, but we were dining with another pair of influencer friends who had tried this place before. They said when they last visited Vineria. It, the food was impressive and much to rave about. So we had our hopes up when we walked in. We were seated immediately but considering it was 7PM on a Saturday night in Bangsar, the place was still rather quiet.
Like all Italian places, Vineria.it serves bread upon being seated.
The meal started off already rich and fancy - with some starters like the carpaccio di manzo (RM45) which is black angus carpaccio with olive oil, lemon, parmiggino, truffle and rocket. We couldn’t really taste much of the truffle but the carpaccio itself was a nice kickstart to our meal.
Next, we had a beautiful half seared salmon marinato (RM45) which was presented like roses in a garden. The salmon was fresh and had a great flavour to it.
The next dish was most definitely the highlight of the meal - the filetto di manzo (RM160). The black angus filet with white truffle sauce was cooked perfectly, still oozing pink in the middle. The meat was tender and went perfectly with the cheese. The only thing we had to complain about is that we couldn’t get enough of the dish!
We also got to sample their mezzelune pasta (RM81). This dish is may not look like much (in fact, we didn’t find its aesthetic very appetising), but its taste proved to us that looks can be deceiving and to not judge a book by its cover. However, we do believe better presentation would have done it more justice in photos. The handmade pasta is delicious and the creamy sauce brings the whole dish together so well.
We also tried their signature pizza, which is the vineria pizza (RM47 + RM8 for the black pizza dough). The novelty of having a black pizza (or black anything) is still present at Vineria. This thin crust pizza houses a mountain of ingredients from its tomato base to mozzarella cheese, tuna and anchovies and a generous helping of rocket leaves.
The final main we tried was another handmade fresh pasta and this time we went with a more conventional seafood pasta with a white wine sauce. The tagliolini ai frutti di mare (RM99) is a light pasta that is great for sharing if you don’t want an overload of seafood. But if you’re a diehard seafood fan, this dish won’t leave you disappointed.
The dessert we had at vineria.it was the tiramisu. It happened to be one of our (belated) birthdays, so we had them put a candle on the tiramisu just for a mini celebration. The tiramisu itself was wonderful - everything a good tiramisu should have.
