Smoothie bowls have been trending in a huge way in the eat clean scene all around Malaysia. As the millennials continue to find more creative ways to supplement their healthy lifestyles, foodies like me get to enjoy yummy, yet diet-friendly dishes.

We decided to head down to The Good Co in Bangsar one morning for a mid-week pick-me-up in the form of what could possibly be the best smoothie bowls in KL.

The healthy, colourful bowl of goodness can be enjoyed any time of the day but personally, I find it best consumed on a sunny morning. Weekends will definitely be less tranquil because of the weekend brunch crowd, but this is the perfect place to head to for brunch.

Not to neglect the caffeine addicts, The Good Co also serves pretty good coffee. I tried their hot latte (RM13) and was pleased with the brew.

Of course, since we were here for the smoothie bowls, we had to try them. Asad, the chef and food consultant for The Good Co. came out to have a quick chat with us and told us that the official launch will be happening soon and they will be introducing more items to the menu – something we’re very excited about!

The golden bowl (RM16.90), pictured above, is a mango based smoothie bowl. It is topped with fresh mango slices and chia seeds, accompanied by bananas, blueberries, granola, pumpkin seeds and goji berries.

The acai bowl (RM21.90) is a bright and beautiful smoothie bowl with plenty of dragonfruit, strawberries, granola and desiccated coconut flesh. This was my favourite of the two – its flavours blended so perfectly together and I lapped up every ounce of it.

So if you’re looking for a new weekend brunch place in Bangsar, look no further than The Good Co, especially if you’re a vegan. Vegan brunch place ftw! They’re very vegan friendly and also offer vegan dishes like spiced pumpkin soup (RM7.90), kimchi cauliflower fried rice (RM15.90) and salad jars of goodness (RM14.90).
