The Barn, Pavilion KL

I first heard about The Barn when they opened in One Mont Kiara and visited it once in that branch. But it was my first time heading to the Pavilion branch when they invited us there for a review of their 1KG Tomahawk steak - a seasonal item on their menu.

The Barn is designed in such a way that would appeal to various dining groups - from couples, to families to friends who just want a chilled out place to drink and hang out in.

Of course, The Barn's extensive beverage list is appealing to many of the tourists who frequent Pavilion itself.

And no good drinking session is without food. Thankfully, The Barn comes with a menu that is equally as extensive as the drinks menu.
You will be spoiled for choice here from many porky dishes like its candy bacon strips (RM29 and also safe starter dishes like tomato bruschetta (RM15).
But one of the must-tries, especially if you're going to have a pint of beer, is their crispy pork belly (RM29).

For mains, we would recommend trying the ribs (RM59), which is charred with flair by a server who seemed a little flame-happy, wielding his torch with a grin on his face.

Of course, we were all there to try the Tomahawk steak, which was as massive as promised. Despite the gargantuan cut, the meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare - the only way a steak should be enjoyed.

Meat juices still flowed out from the cut, allowing for us to savour each bite with relish. The Tomahawk steak is available at The Barn for the whole of October.
