Aquamarine, Marina Mandarin Hotel

Aquamarine at Marina Mandarin is one of the choice places for those who enjoy buffets but are also looking for a halal-certified place to dine at. It offers the freshest seafood options, it is located at one of the most beautiful hotels in Singapore and there is always plenty of variety as the chefs continue to evolve the menu every few months.

It is very well-known for its fresh seafood offerings - where seafood lovers can binge on imported crustaceans and shellfish.

But on top of just seafood, there are plenty of meaty dishes for you to choose from. Freshly grilled meats are available upon request and there is also a kebab machine for you to make your own shawarma.

What I find unique about this buffet, and my dearest Malaysian friends who love Chinese food take note, is that they offer quite a number of Chinese dishes here that are halal. They have a wedding dinner favourite - glutinous rice (that is typically served with pork) that is halal and (almost) sin-free (it's pretty carb heavy, so go easy on it!).

There is also a station for you to make your own pie tee if you wish. Otherwise, there is a lovely station that you can DIY Indonesian Gado Gado!

But I think the highlight for many will be the sashimi station - free flow of sashimi for you to enjoy. Fresh salmon and tuna are available during the lunch buffet, with more options during the dinner service.

But of course, desserts here always swoop in to steal the limelight. Enjoy decadent desserts of an extremely wide variety here, as the dessert table(s) make up an entire island, really. It's like finding a really sweet oasis in the dessert, if you ask me.

Lunch buffets at Aquamarine start from $58 for adults on weekdays.
