S.Wine @ Tropicana City Mall
Swine at Tropicana City Mall boasts a classy interior and exterior alike.
The interior is adorned with kitschy furniture and leafy trees to give it a very outdoorsy feel. The natural sunlight floods the restaurant, adding to the ambience.
A pink wall of porkiness is a tasteful addition to the already beautiful restaurant.
The menu is delightful fused between Western and Asian with a tendency towards Thai-inspired dishes.

We started off with a couple of standard drinks - 3 layer tea and elderflower soda water.

We were then served Mr Crackles - a "piggy bag" full of sinfully fried pork skin. Not an everyday indulgence. We were given the apple sauce but this dish also comes with an Asian pesto or salmoreja sauce option.

The next dish we tried was the Thai larb salad. Prepare for your tastebuds to be hit with a very strong Thai taste due to the generous use of fish sauce and basil in the dish. But if you're a fan of Thai salads, you will love this dish.

Next, we sunk our teeth into this monster of a burger. The Porky Mac & Cheese burger is a layer of lightly browned burger bun topped off with a chunk of fried mac & cheese and pulled pork.

At this point, we were quite full, but we also tried the Peaches & Cream. Think pork chop, a dollop of sauerkraut bacon mash, plenty of rocket leaves and finished off with the peachy sauce.

What had to be our favourite dish at S.Wine was the classic pork sausage and rosti combination. This is a failsafe dish and S.Wine delivers a killer version of it.

To finish off our meal, we tried the creme brulee with bacon and strawberries. Though they could have torched the sugar on top a little longer, the overall taste and texture of the dish met our expectations.

S.Wine at Tropicana City Mall is a great place to host a lunch party or celebrate someone's birthday in without burning a hole in your wallet.
Expect a speakeasy bar to open on top of the restaurant by the end of the year. Can't wait to see what that looks like!
