Sushi Tei 25th Silver Jubilee Comeback Menu

I have to admit, Japanese food is my perennial weakness. So, getting invited to try Sushi Tei’s 25th Silver Jubilee menu got me extremely excited. For the celebration, Sushi Tei brought back 25 of its old favourite dishes once more. It does beg the question — why did these tasty dishes get rotated off the menu in the first place? Putting that aside, I was happy to kickstart this Japanese feast with non-other than a generous sashimi platter. The Sashimi Moriawase “Churippu” ($

He honed his skills under the master chef at the illustrious Nadaman Japanese Restaurant in Nagoya Tokyu Hotel. We had the opportunity to try Chef Kenji’s 8 course Omak

Puri Puri, Beach Road

We were invited by the lovely folks from Quandoo on a quaint weekday evening to take a look at what Puri Puri has to offer. Having worked up an appetite getting to Puri Puri from Bugis MRT station (it was a short 15 minute stroll), we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a quaint hole-in-the-wall café that shares its space with a lighting store, Verde Light. And true to its establishment, Puri Puri has great ambient lighting complementing its hipster vibes, creati

But what you don’t know is that there are hidden treasures within this mall. One of which is Otto’s Deli Fresh, a new dining establishment by Chef Otto Weibel. Born in Switzerland, Chef Otto has been serving out delights since 1973, when he first arrived in Singapore to work at the Shangri-la Hotel. And we got a taste of the new

New Wagyu Offerings at The Butcher’s Kitchen, Suntec City Mall

We’re back again at The Butcher’s Kitchen and once again, they’ve got our passion for quality beef ignited. Literally. The bowls were on fire. The first flaming bowl we has was The Butcher’s Flaming Dice ($13.90) which is doused with their special cognac concoction. This was by far my favourite, because the cognac enhanced the flavours

If you are an indecisive eater like myself, Emporium Shokuhin is definitely a place to consider when you are stumped, not knowing what to eat. Emporium Shokuhin is probably the only place in Singapore to always offer a series of amazing 1-for-1 deals. I was lucky enough to check out a piece of what some of the restaurants had to offer, and here are some of my thoughts. Senmi Sushi When I first tried this out I figured this would be the same type of sashimi you can find virtua
