Ebisu @ Pavilion Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

In the middle of bustling Kuala Lumpur, right at the centre of the Golden Triangle and amidst the crowd of shoppers and tourists, discover one of the most luxurious spots to have Japanese cuisine in the city. Up on the 8th floor of the Pavilion Hotel lies Ebisu, a high-end and elegant Japanese restaurant with beautiful interior and even better food. We were invited for lunch, and here’s what we have to say about it. Note: You can park your vehicles in the hotel car park howev

Nori Sushi @ Fraser Place KL

From the folks who brought you Malai Thai Restaurant, hails a brand new concept that focuses on sushi, with ingredients that are air flown directly from Japan. Upon arriving, I was greeted warmly by the team and was seated at the bar area. The bar has an open kitchen concept, where I could watch how Executive Chef Joe San prepare his beautiful work of art. Executive Chef Joe San, who has more than 18 years of experience as a Sushi Chef, emphasises a lot about the freshness of

Kohi Yatta, Jln Sungai Besi

It’s an unlikely place for a cafe to be but the more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Kohi Yatta is located at the Mazda showroom and service centre in Sungai Buloh and for as long we sat there staring at the Mazdas, we considered getting one. It’s a bright and airy cafe that is kid-friendly, as we quickly learnt. A kid’s birthday party was going on during our visit but thankfully, they were confined to the play area. I love the layout and the segmentation of this

Kouzu, Bangsar

As you enter the corner lot in which Kouzu sits, you are greeted by a large dragon. It is not a scary dragon, but rather one that is beautifully painted on a stretch of Kouzu's wall. It sits next to paintings of Mount Fuji, Sakura flowers, koi fish and a geisha. The spectacular graffiti wall certainly does make an impression, and it sets the tone of Kouzu being artistically modern while still holding onto Japanese culture. Opened just a month ago, Kouzu is the latest Japanese

Kirin Ichiban x The Table, Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur

Hey all! Want an interesting and exclusive dining experience right in the heart of KL? Don't fret! We've got a recommendation (or five) for you! We were treated like VVIPs last Wednesday night by the great folks from The Table at Lot 10 and Kirin Ichiban, through a night of delicious Japanese cuisine, yukatas, calligraphy, traditional Japanese music and of course, the first ever pressed beer itself, Kirin Ichiban! We were spoilt and filled to the brim with lovely dishes from
