Big Feed, Govan
Photo by Samad | The Big Feed space I'm so glad that there are more foodie spots to please my foodie appetite here in Glasgow. This time, we're gonna talk about Big Feed Street Food Social located in Govan on the south side of the city. The warehouse space itself is massive and covered in fairy lights, which makes the place appear quite magical! And evidently, this set up is very perfect for family outings because we saw a lot of young parents bringing over their kids for som

Botanica+Co, Bangsar South
Dining in the park is something Malaysians don't do often because of the humid weather. It is not exactly glamorous to dress up in a pretty summer dress, lay out a picnic mat and just melt in the scorching tropical heat that we have in this part of the world. Thankfully, the founders of Botanica+Co (also the same owners of Botanica Deli just next to it) understand our pain and decided to create a comfortable indoor park-like atmosphere for diners to allow them to feel like th

Intersect By: Clon, Klang
Situated inside Klang's newest boutique hotel, LAX Boutique Hotel, Intersect By: Clon breathes fresh life into Klang's old town centre. Moving from Section 12, Petaling Jaya, their new location in Klang is a little out of the way for PJ-folk like me but the food is definitely worth the visit. I could sit at Intersect: By Clon the whole day. I love the bright colours and bold statement pieces (check out the hanging ladder with lights!), smooth jazz music wafting out of the spe

Streat Thai, Jaya One
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Jaya One's The School is a street (or should I say Streat) Thai joint that is the perfect hangout spot for a casual night out. The restaurant is open-aired, breezy and has a large projector screen that is perfect for watching live sports matches! Not only does Streat Thai have an incredibly extensive menu, but judging from the number of Thai customers, the food is authentic too! It is also pork-free. All 15 chefs here are from different Thai p

Cafe Studio, Kota Damansara
Making good coffee is an art, so it was a great experience to watch coffee artists at work in an actual art studio. Cafe Studio in Kota Damansara is a modern art space featuring local artists as well as a gorgeous cafe. The vibe here is laidback and it is easy to spend a whole Sunday afternoon lazing here. Though it has the fittings of a museum, it carries the warmth of a friendly neighbourhood cafe. Walking around Cafe Studio is never boring because you are engaging in thoug

Pho Street, Paradigm Mall
Pho Street opened its first outlet in Malaysia to excite your taste buds with the distinctly fresh and vibrant flavours that it is known and loved for. We were eager for a taste of some Vietnamese street cuisine. We started with fresh summer rolls with prawn, pork belly & fresh herbs. I love the resilient texture of the skin, while the overall taste was very fresh and light, a perfect dish for a starter. Next, we had sesame rice crackers with fragrant minced meat and spices d

D'Legends, TTDI
D'Legends is no stranger to the TTDI neighbourhood. It is a regular watering hole for residents. It is known for its floor-to-ceiling posters of legends. In a recent revamp, the bar now boasts new lighting and a ventilation system that allows for better airflow. But more than just that, their new menu is something worth making it your regular go-to place for dinner and drinks. They also boast the perfect serve of Guinness and Tiger. In fact, the Tiger pour is award-winning. F

The Canteen, Da Men Mall USJ
The Canteen is an all-new, one-stop food destination for local foodies. Far from your typical food court, The Canteen is touted to be a slightly higher scaled but still down-to-Earth spot for food and drinks. Prices here are not just reasonable, they actually give hawker centres a run for their money, especially with the quality of the food and the chilled out ambiance you get here. The Canteen is split into strategic sections to allow for different types of diners to feel at

Strongbow x enfin by James Won
Looking for a place to bring your loved ones for special occasions? Look no further than enfin by James Won. The classy, fine dining establishment is the perfect venue in downtown KL to bring someone you want to impress. The indoor seating oozes swankiness but the outdoor seating allows for a more casual vibe if you're just there for drinks. In collaboration with Strongbow Ciders, enfin's head mixologist, Jeffrey, put together special concoctions using the cider, resulting in

Clinton St. Baking Company & Restaurant, Purvis St
Strolling down the busy street of Purvis Street in Singapore, I am faced with eateries left and right, quite literally. From a quiet Japanese yakitori joint to busy dessert places packed with yuppies and youngsters, Purvis Street is a hotspot for foodies any day of the week. Parking here is sparse, especially on weekends. But take the MRT to Bugis and it is a short five-minute walk to the food haven. I landed in Singapore on a bright Tuesday afternoon, appetite in full swing

Mezza9 Champagne Brunch, Grand Hyatt Singapore
Mezza9 at Grand Hyatt Singapore is already well-known for its world-class, international buffet spread. It is a popular choice for birthdays and other special occasions. Grand Hyatt is actually one of my favourite hotels in Singapore to go to for a staycation and of course, to enjoy their incredible champagne brunch on Sundays. So, if you like being pampered that way, you know where to go... Champagne is free-flow for the champagne brunch, but one glass it all it takes to rea

The Locker & Loft, Damansara Kim
My first visit to The Locker & Loft, I made a fool of myself because I couldn't find its entrance. Who would have thought a shoddy-looking, battered row of lockers would turn out to actually be a secret door to a place I would consider sui generis as far as bars go? But The Locker & Loft has a remarkable sense of individuality in its interior design. Upon entering the hidden bar, you will find yourself face to face with Paul Dass’ and Deepak Gill’s favourite photograph of wor
