Bibimbap, Glasgow

Photo by Samad | Bibimbap facade So recently in Glasgow, we've been experiencing very cold winters and even heavy snow fall, to the point that the whole country seems like it's shut down. For me, when it's freezing outside, I often look for hearty meals that can warm me up, which means I'll be looking for spicy soups, and lots of it! Glasgow, being a small-to-medium sized city itself, has plenty of foodie spots to choose from, however the selections of Asian cuisines still

The ever so popular dak galbi restaurant Yoogane opens up in 1 Utama Shopping Centre! All that sizzling goodness!

Yakiniku Toraji, Isetan The Japan Store

Having heard so much about the interesting items (with eye-popping price tags!) you can find at Isetan The Japan Store, not much buzz was on the food there. So when I discovered we were invited to dine at Yakiniku Toraji, I jumped at the chance to be on the premium restaurant floor called The Table. 'Yakiniku' is a Japanese term for grilled meat and as its name suggest, Yakiniku Toraji serves grilled meat in generous thick cuts. It is a Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant that

Omaya @ Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur

We were invited to the grand opening of Omaya recently which is the fourth outlet that opened its doors in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. Omaya is a well-known brand, so-called the largest Korean cuisine restaurant in Taiwan, obtaining a total of approximately 60 branches in Taiwan. They have recently penetrated into the Malaysian market and introduced a whole new fashion of Korean cuisine with its unique culture and dining experience to the locals. In order to create a comfortable

Chicken Up, Subang Jaya

Before you make a trip to Chicken Up, you should know this: it is hugely popular! So you'll have to get there early to get a table and if you're dining in a big group, be sure to make a reservation. Chicken Up is a great addition to Subang's already-thriving and diverse food scene. It's in a strategic location, which might be a contributing factor to its crowds but beyond that, I believe its pull lies in the food. The best way to enjoy the food here at Chicken Up is to come w

Review: The Manna, Plaza Damas

This cheerful little Korean place in Plaza Damas was our the family's choice for an early dinner place because it started raining while we were walking around looking for a restaurant. It's very affordable - with prices starting from the low tens to the most expensive dish, their Pa-Jeon pancake, at RM25, pictured below. Pa-Jeon (RM25) - very tasty with a generous amount of ingredients. Worth the price! Dolsot-Bibimbap (RM13.90). Not as nice as Daorae, apparently. Japchae (R
