BeGin Bar, Upstairs of The Penny Black @ Boat Quay
We recently tried BeGin’s amazing British Indian bar bites and it’s the perfect accompaniment to their cocktails they serve here. Not every drink has a gin-base, but each are just as delicious as the other. The drinks are made with plenty of local ingredients, while staying true to its British Indian identity. One of the popular cocktails we tried was the Koko ($23). Made with cocoa infused rum, orange liqueur and espresso, this drink packs a strong punch and is perfect for c

Mid-Summer Menu @ Kushikatsu Tanaka, Clarke Quay
Japan's Largest kushikatsu chain restaurant has just released a mid-summer menu in Singapore's downtown area bustling in Clarke Quay. There is an outdoor area at the entrance of the restaurant, perfect to chill while enjoying the late evening breeze (when there is one)! The indoor interior is very simplistic and comfortable with wooden interiors. It almost feels like you've just stepped into a cosy restaurant in Japan. It was a rather warm day when I went to Kushikatsu Tanaka

Salted Egg Buffet at The Square, Novotel Clarke Quay
As someone who has been living in Singapore for many years, I have seen how food trends here make it and break it. But one food trend has yet (and doesn’t seem even close) to see its curtains close – the salted egg. Hence, many have dubbed salted egg (dishes) a “local delicacy”. And with Singapore’s National Day coming up, Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay’s The Square Restaurant is going for the gold and presenting its first ever Salted Egg Buffet. From now till 30 August 2018,

Un-Yang-Kor-Dai, South Beach Road
Thai cuisines are one my favourites and it’s something you usually can’t go wrong with, especially if you love spicy food. Since Thailand is quite a big country, the food in the northern area differs from what you’d typically find in the usual Thai joints around. And if you’re interested in trying out some authentic Northern Thai grub, I’d highly recommend you to head to Un-Yang-Kor-Dai, Singapore’s first and only restaurant that specialises in North-eastern Thai or Isaan cui

Kushikatsu Tanaka, Clarke Quay
Kushikatsu Tanaka is a well celebrated kushikatsu chain and one of the biggest in Japan that boasts over 165 outlets. Their golden kushikatsu has won the hearts (and stomachs!) of many diners in Japan and they are sure to win yours to as they open their first outlet in Singapore. Let us start with the main stars of the show, their crispy kushikatsu. Each kushikatsu is priced between $1 to $2.50, which is incredibly affordable. Their special batter and cooking method makes sur

Tamoya Udon (Dry Series), Liang Court
Tamoya Udon has released a brand-new set of tossed udon series, not only are they delicious but they definitely fun to eat! We would definitely suggest coming together with your group of friends or family to see who can toss the ribbons of noodles the highest We started out of the Oooh-mami Udon ($10.80). If you love seafood this is definitely for you, get ready for a burst of seafood the moment you bite into this udon. I highly recommend adding some tempura crumbs if the sea

Ramen Champion @ Clarke Quay Central, Singapore
Most of you have probably heard of Ramen Champion in Bugis+, but did you know that they opened up a new joint over at Central in Clarke Quay? The best part is, this new place boasts a sit down restaurant concept. So, unlike the Bugis+ outlet, you won't have to get up to place your order. A big yeay for clumsy people like me, so I won't end up spilling my bowl of piping hot ramen all over myself while bringing it to my table. All the popular Japanese ramen brands will also be

Privé, Clarke Quay
Apart from its Keppel Bay, CHIJMES and Asian Civilisations Museum outlets, Prive is now also open at the heart of the buzzing excitement of Clarke Quay. Facing the fountain area, Prive is the perfect spot for people watching. It is also close to designated smoking spots, which smokers would be pleased to note. Live music is available in the evenings, so you can enjoy being serenaded while dining. The menu here caters to both locals and tourists with local and Western fare. Th
