Curious Kitchen, Persiaran Tropicana

We recently had the privilege of trying out Curious Kitchen. I can’t believe we had not heard of it before the crazy #porknotpork MAS in-flight magazine saga with their wagyu beef. But it’s good that a lot of good publicity happened in the wake of that drama for the restaurant, because we easily had one of the best meals of our lives there. Starting off with a Yee Sang since Chinese New Year is just around the corner, we “lou’d” to the beginning of a delicious and overall satisfying meal. “Eat without getting fat,” I wished while tossing the Yee Sang. One can hope, right? Though that wish may not have come true, the other wish I made for a good meal definitely more than came true. Curious Ki

Wondermama, 1 Utama

After taking a tour around the world, Mama (of Wondermama) returns with a new menu inspired by all the international flavours while still retaining that familiar local taste. If you haven’t already been to Wondermama, now is a good time to go to try their new menu. Located in the Old Wing of 1 Utama Shopping Centre, the restaurant has a cosy wooden interior with rattan furniture that will remind you of visits back to your kampung where you know some good home cooked food is waiting for you. We were served a mix of dishes from the new menu to classic favourites from the old menu, starting with the Wonder Popchicks (RM16.90), a popcorn chicken available in four different flavours themed with a

Tapas Club, Orchard Central

Here in Singapore, foreign cuisines are a plenty. However, it is rather difficult to find good and authentic ones. When it comes to Spanish food, Tapas Club is now my favourite go-to spot. Here at Tapas Club, sit back and relax over some Sangria (from $12 a glass) and up beat Spanish music. Enjoy the huge variety of Spanish appetisers and snacks, or more commonly known as tapas. We tried the Croquetas De Jamon ($11.90). These ham croquettes are a common snack in Spain and are made with a filling on creamy bechamel and chopped jamon ham, then topped with more ham! Next, we tried something that became my favourite dish here. The Berenjena Con Mie ($9.90) are thinly sliced eggplant chips that w
