When someone says, 'molten lava cake' to me while I am on a diet, it is sadly the *magic words* and I lose my will to diet altogether. Was brought to Softcore by my maternal cousins last weekend and I absolutely fell in love with their molten lava cakes. It was after a pretty heavy dinner at Youmiqi, but we'd agreed that there's always space for dessert. So we drove all the way to Sunway for this. According to one of the co-founders, Gerald, they hadn't had any formal launch but when we arrived it was bustling with a decent crowd. They had run out the White chocolate and matcha molten lava cakes. But we managed to try their salted caramel, dark chocolate and peanut butter molten lava cakes.

Awesome Canteen, Paramount

So, I'm not one to subscribe to any particular kind of diet. I love food so much that it would be torture for me to stick to one kind of diet all the time. But of course, I am always open to trying new food. So when the opportunity arose for me to try out a paleo menu at Awesome Canteen, I wasn't going to say no. Awesome Canteen is one of the few budding cafes in Taman Paramount, one of the older neighbourhoods in PJ. Owner Raymond Chang says that he sees a good mix of the older crowd as well as the young adults. But the cafe attracts a large CrossFit community in PJ because of its paleo menu. Paleo-friendly sweet potato fries - RM8.90. Butterfish (RM26.90) served with alfalfa sprouts and sw
